RAY RICHARDSON

Mr. Richardson, 78, of Linden, died Monday, August 28, 2023, at Greencrest Assisted Living in Parsons. A funeral service was held Friday, September 1, 2023, 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Young Funeral Home. Burial was at Dr. O.A. Kirk Memorial Cemetery. He was born in Nashville, the son of the late William Hobart Richardson and Sallie Matt Culp Richardson. He was a Shriner, and veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a communications specialist. He worked for Tiller Furniture Company and taught electronics at Tennessee Area Vocational School for many years, and also worked for Tennessee Gas Pipeline where he retired after twenty-six years as a systems analyst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bernis, Pete, W.H., and Edward Richardson. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Patty Richardson; a son, James Ray “Jimmy” (Sherry) Richardson of Bon Aqua; a daughter, Sheri (Shane) Ary of Linden; and five grandsons, Brandon, Alex, and Cody Richardson, and Caleb and Colby Ary.
