Undercover Sting Ends in Man’s Arrest for Soliciting Sex with Teenage Girl

A Perry County man authorities say offered merchandise in exchange for sex with a thirteen-year old girl is in the Perry County Jail under a $560,000 bond.

Randy Rainey, 32, has been charged with trafficking for commercial sex act, exploitation of a minor by electronic means, solicitation of a person under eighteen, promoting prostitution, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Sheriff Nick Weems said his office was contacted on Friday, May 12, 2023, by a mother who said a man had offered to purchase or trade merchandise if she would allow her teenage daughter to spend with night with him.
