Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative residential and GSA-1 members will see changes on their December statements.
In comparison to last month, the overall impact is a 2.13 percent ($3.34) increase for residential members using 1200 kilowatt-hours of energy.
Changes include the Tennessee Valley Authority switching from the lower transition month price (October-November) to the higher, winter season rate (December-March), and the TVA fuel cost adjustment going down.
MLEC is also implementing changes.
For MLEC residential members, the Basic MLEC Service (how fixed costs such as maintaining substations, equipment, materials, right of way, etc. are covered) is going from $40.50 to $43.00 per month, and a less than 3 percent increase to the energy charge will be applied.
For GSA-1 accounts, the Basic MLEC Service fee will change from $59.50 to …………..
