PERRY COUNTY: SECOND HIGHEST JOBLESS RATE IN TN

Though the jobless rate remained the same from March to April at 7.8%, Perry County still had the second highest unemployment percentage in Tennessee, according to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s latest report.

Only Maury County—at 8.0% for April—experienced more joblessness.

Rounding out the top ten, in descending order: Shelby, Lewis, Marshall, Lake, Haywood, Hardeman, Houston, and Lauderdale.
