If you are a fugitive from justice hoping to hide out in Perry County, you might want to re-think that decision.
Two fugitives were arrested in a week thanks to efficient and informed police work.
James Bradley Barnard, 39, of Fairview, was in Perry County when Investigator Joe Donaldson heard that someone with that name had a vehicle being towed on Crooked Creek.
Investigator Donaldson made contact with Barnard at 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
The incident report says Barnard tried to flee on foot when he saw the patrol car, but accidentally ran into a parked front-end loader.
He was taken into custody on multiple warrants from other locations:felony identity theft, escape, and evading arrest in Lexington;felony theft and misdemeanor vandalism in Humphreys County;felony escape in Cheatham County; and forgery and failure to appear in Ashland City.
Here, Barnard is charged with use of a stolen or lost vehicle license, resisting arrest, and evading custody.
